Kid D deploys some visual trickery in the new video for “Substance Intro”

After his ethereal vocal debut “Take Me Away” was released in February to great reception from the likes of TRENCH Magazine and multiple Rinse FM DJs, Lewisham rapper Kid D has today unveiled visuals for the self-produced track, now aptly retitled “Substance Intro” as a nod to his forthcoming EP.

The instantly memorable video, directed by New Influx, takes viewers from the tower blocks to a blissful woodland, innovatively combining digital effects with reality.

Substance is set to feature collaborations with Ghetts, Novelist and Blue Hills member Stacka among others. Fans can also catch an early glimpse of the project’s next single, “Serious Choices” (feat. Novelist), which premiered via Joe Walker’s Reprezent Radio show this week.
