“Serious Choices”, the new single from South East London wordsmith and grime super-producer Kid D (Wiley, Skepta, Hardy Caprio), concerns making difficult decisions on the path to prosperity. The self-produced track features a euphoric hook from fellow Lewisham king Novelist, who recently held down a BBC Radio 1Xtra residency and has been releasing a prolific amount of music this year as part of his ’52 Weeks of Fire’ campaign.
The track serves as the fourth offering from Kid D’s upcoming debut vocal EP Substance, set to feature collaborations with Ghetts and Devlin among others. It follows on from recent singles “Substance Intro”, “Bring It On” and “Different Class”, which dropped earlier this year as the first tasters of Kid D’s newly perfected skills on mic.
Having already received plaudits from grime stalwarts including 1Xtra’s Sir Spyro, Rinse FM’s Oblig and Reprezent’s Joe Walker, this song is not one to be missed.
“Serious Choices” is out now via streaming services. The accompanying music video will be dropping via GRM Daily’s YouTube channel on Tuesday 30 June.
