Macca – “Back At It”

Having garnered support from the likes of Spotify, 1Xtra and DJ Mag with last year’s hit “No Days Off”, Wolverhampton’s Macca once again links up with East London superproducer Silencer (Skepta, Jme, Lethal Bizzle) for the equally weighty “Back At It”.

The trap-leaning grime track finds the former StayFresh member taunting his musical adversaries, calling them out on their insincerity and flexing his own credentials. It follows on from a string of recent singles including the Swifta Beater-produced anthem “Big Numbers”, the poignant, #BlackLivesMatter-inspired “World Isn’t Safe”, and the jazzy, introspective “Corona Freestyle”.

The track comes off the back of a landmark year for the West Midlands MC, which has seen him hosting a sold-out headline show in his hometown and launching his own in-demand WinnersOnly clothing line. Musically, he’s got plenty more in the pipeline – stay tuned for more singles soon and a new EP in 2021.

“Back At It” is out now via streaming services. Watch the music video, directed by frequent collaborator Mystik Visuals, in full below.
