I’ve reviewed music and interviewed artists for a wide variety of online and print publications including Genius, Clash Magazine, The Line of Best Fit, Link Up TV and the University of Bath’s Edge Arts Centre. My portfolio is available on Muck Rack; it spans an eclectic mix of genres including everything from pop to drill to amapiano. If you’d like me to write for your publication, or would like to share a forthcoming release or interview opportunity, please drop me an email.
I’ve found Clash to be the perfect outlet for some of my artist interviews, which have included a conversation with Scorcher to coincide with his Small Axe appearance and an exclusive first look at Fuda Guy’s recent transformation into Big Fudz.
The Line of Best Fit
I regularly review new albums for The Line of Best Fit; please send through promos at least three weeks in advance if you’d like to be considered for coverage. You can find a comprehensive list of my articles for the site here.
Once Upon A Grime
Joining the team in December 2017, I devised brand strategy; redesigned the website; curated exclusive content from a whole host of grime MCs, producers and DJs; attended shows, festivals, studio sessions and radio sets on behalf of the brand; and improved its social media presence. From April 2018 to August 2019, I served as the site’s editor, coordinating song premieres, interviews and guest mixes as well as routine coverage of new releases.
My featured articles include an exclusive discovery about Kanye West’s unreleased Yeezus 2 project and an insight into Dizzee Rascal’s direct influence on the grime scene. Over the years, I’ve also acted as a de facto artist relations coordinator for Genius, verifying accounts for hundreds of musicians and directly liaising with chart-topping artists to coordinate collaborative content.
